Nice, lightweight harness
I have a 4 month old cocker spaniel/poodle mix, and while she's learning to walk and run on a leash I didn't want to be tugging on her neck constantly. This harness does a great job, and she actually doesn't mind wearing it a bit. It's pretty lightweight, so it might not be ideal for a large, strong dog, but at only 8.5 pounds it's working great for my puppy. As others said it takes some time to get it all adjusted, but once you've got it dialed in it's easy to take on and off and fits great.
lightweight and strong
I have another much more robust Ruffwear harness, but wanted a lighter weight one that my yellow lab could wear during summer and not get as hot. This one is great. It takes a bit to figure it out, but once you get in the habit it goes on well. The medium size fits my 68lb lab well.
Bought 3 ruff wear Stow'n Go Harnesses
I have 2 Jack Russell's and a French Bulldog, all of which are different sizes. I agree with the last review that the back strap is a little to long down the back, but I like that it is easy to adjust when putting it over their ruff wear coats. The best harness out there. I love the light weight design and the cushion pad in the front.
Sturdy and compact, very high quality product without the bulk
Takes something use to but it is very convenient and easy to carry around. I would buy this product again
ditch the collar
Having a dog, you probably know how much pulling and tugging you do walking your dog. I really like using harnesses when i can, since they don't tug and hurt your dogs' neck. over time all that pulling will damage the dog's throat. harnesses are nice since they support their chest and takes the pressure of the neck. this is a great harness, very durable, easy to put on your dog. For the money it's a very good basic dog harness. The difficult part is just finding the correct size for your dog. Other than that, harnesses are much safer to use than collars.
