Great Jacket
We took our 85lb. lab snow shoeing and thought he would need something to keep him warm given the unpredictable weather conditions. We were out in the snow for at least 5 hours and the jacket kept him warm, dry, and happy. We love how easy it is to put the jacket on with the side zip. The large size jacket fit perfectly snug, and Granite Grey looks really sporty. After several days of use, there were no signs of wear and tear on the product. We are very happy with the jacket.

Great coat for the right situations
I, or rather my dog, has had this coat for over a month now and I love it. It hasn't been the coat of choice recently since it's not very thick at all and my 50lbs pit bull with her short hair gets cold easily. If you want a coat to wear during heavy activity like running or when it's a little warmer like 30-40 degrees this is a great coat but for colder climates you need something warmer. It's very water resistant on top so when it's lightly raining it's great. However the wind and water resistant part only covers a little higher than mid chest up on both sides so if wind is coming from the sides it would cut right through the stretchy fabric below that. The sizing description (S - 23"-30" (58-76 cm), M - 27"-32" (69-81 cm)) had me thinking about it for a while since my dog's chest girth is 27". From the chart you would think she would fit in the small just right and that the medium might fit but be a little loose. However due to some reviewers mentioning they run a little small I ordered the medium. Boy was I glad. Even with the medium I still have to stretch it a little in order to zip it up but that's what gives her that athletic look in this coat. I don't think she could've fit in a small at all. The length fit perfectly for her too. One of the things I like a lot about this coat is that it covers almost her entire underbelly. Sorry, boy dogs, this coat will in no way fit you because of this. So far I've seen no hot spots or chafing areas on this coat so that's good news. Overall it's a great looking coat and fits her perfectly. I only wish it was a little warmer so she could wear this one instead since she looks so good in it!

We love it, Gypsy not so much!
Great coat. Keeps her very warm and once she has it on I think she forgets about it. The openings for her front paws I think were a tad too snug and rubbed her the wrong way, once they openings were stretched a bit there seems to be no problem. All in all, a great coat that keeps her warm and dry.

Quality Product
I have a Boston Terrier size 23" girth, so I ordered a XS. These should fit tight but I was unable to zip it up. I'am ordering a small and I hope that will zip up. This a very well made product and I will be glad to follow up on the sizing when I recieve the small. Kudos for Altrec very good customer service

superbly designed and made
I bought one of these for our golden retriever, who has lost her undercoat due to chemotherapy. She always tolerated even the coldest weather, but now she shivers when the temp is lower than about 35 F, and I'd rather not have her soaking wet in the rain. The Cloud Chaser is the prefect answer for her. It's by far the best designed dog jacket I've seen, and I've seen quite a few of them. It's also beautifully made. Ariel, who never was one to strut around in hats or coats, loves her new jacket. It's comfortable, yet it protects her very well. NOTE - When ordering, do be very careful about sizing, because I think these run smaller than you'd expect. Ariel measures just 30 inches around her chest, but the Medium size was way too tight - almost impossible to zip around her neck, and very confining. The Large size, which according to the sizing chart would be a bit loose, is just perfect for her. It's snug but not confining.
