Great purchase
I like the fit and comfort, they are great for walking, hiking, and just wearing around town. One of the features that adds to the comfort is the elastic stretch belt that is sown into the shorts. I wish there was a hanging loop on the shorts to tuck the excess belt through when you are tightening the belt, so the excess would not just hang down across your crotch. I really like the diagonal design of the rear pockets for ease of retrieving a wallet and I like the 8 inseam that leaves the shorts above the knee rather than on or below the knee like a pair of basketball shorts. The material is breathable and it dries quickly. After less than a month of wearing my two new pairs, I really cannot address the durability.

Great Shorts!!
I am retired in Costa Rica and wear shorts 360 days a year. The Backcountry Shorts wears so well I've had mine for 6 years and they show little wear. I have 3 pairs...plus other cotton shorts which have worn out.

Awesome shorts!
I love these shorts. I wanted some shorts for traveling and hiking in warm climates. We go hiking in the four corners area (escalante, grand canyon, moab) quite often. These are great. Wore them for 4 straight days last month in Utah, and they hardly looked worn. Highly recommend!

comfortable and cool
very comfortable..... just wish they had put regular belt loops and not bothered with the belt they put on the shorts.
