Ordinary ski bindings are great for groomers, but if you crave big air you need a durable binding that won't unload you during hard landings. That's why Rossignol designed their Axial 2 Freeride with a rugged metal construction and features like a stationary AFD plate behind the toe that doesn't slip way like the sliding AFDs sometimes do at touch-down. The Axial 2 Freeride also has a distinct toe piece that only releases from side to side, not in all directions like the Axial 2 140 Ti bindings, which is another measure to help minimize the hassles of the binding releasing at the wrong moments. This version of the Axial 2 140 Ti features a 100-mm. brake bar that easily accommodates wider twins and generous park skis.
