Designed with the user in mind, the EOS is optimal for both localized needs and spotting at a distance. The combination of a Luxeon/1 watt L.E.D. and the Princeton Tec designed optimized lens maximizes the beam by balancing long throw with flood light. The EOS provides a self-contained 3AA battery system that eliminates external wires, and is equipped with (3) brightness levels with a blinking emergency/signaling mode. Each level provides true current regulation ensuring that the EOS will remain at constant brightness as long as the batteries have sufficient voltage. The use of high grade materials ensures durability and strong resistance to water, weather, and environment conditions.

Great Headlamp
This headlamp is durable and bright. It is also reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?
I honestly think this is one of the best headlamps out there!
I sea kayak and climb. This headlamp is so ridiculously durable. It survived a mega drop on to the rocks and did not explode open like my other headlight. Saltwater did not corrode a thing over a long sea kayaking trip. On alpine climbs it pierces the darkness with ease. I stay on the lower setting and when I need to pick tru crevasse fields I kick it on high. OMG this thing throw's light.
Great lamp for the price, just one problem...
I purchased two of these headlamps and experienced mixed results. In terms of actual lighting, each headlamp I purchased was great. The 70 lumen brightness is more than adequate for hiking at night. I also like the easy to use one button control, which allows you to switch between three different brightness settings. These headlamps are also comfortable, relatively compact and lightweight. So far so good, right? Here's my only issue....one of the headlamps I bought had an extremely loose "swivel" joint. Just the jostling of walking down the trail caused the light to flip forward and point straight down towards the ground. The other lamp I bought did not have this issue, the joint is very tight and holds in place wonderfully. I'm sending back the defective light for a replacement, hopefully this issue was an isolated defect. Otherwise, a great product for the price!
Holds long charge in cold weather
I am impressed with the infrequent nature of having to replace the batteries, they seem to last forever despite the headlamp constantly being cycled from 60F to 10F. It is also very bright. I have owned other headlamps, and the only tiff I have with this one is... if I am moving at a good clip the bobbling movement of my head causes the lamp to flip down instead of staying put at the adjustment I set it at. I had to rubber band it in place so it stopped flipping down. Not sure if other people have similar gripes. Other than that, its a really good headlamp.
