The Princeton Tec Apex LED Headlamp will light up your outdoor world. The 3-watt MaxBright LED will shine a spotlight beam up to 180 feet away and the four UltraBright LEDs will cast a steady wide beam or flashing light out as far as 75 feet. All this power in a 10-oz. package that squeezes 72 to 200 (average 150) hours of light out of four AA alkaline batteries (included). The dual switch design allows easy access to the five modes. Submersible to 3-feet, works with alkaline, lithium or rechargeable batteries.

Excellent Headlamp
Incredibly bright even on the lowest settings. The MaxBright beam makes it very useful when biking at night or for any other night time activity in the open. Not the lightest headlamp available but perfectly acceptable for the performance. AA batteries easy to find, even in more remote locations of the world... (in my opinion an advantage over the lighter "Pro" model). Advertised battery life seem a little optimistic, but that is usually the case. Haven't tested the waterproof quality yet but the gasket around the battery cover comes off very easy when the cover is removed and needs to be replaced carefully. Would have been great if all the LEDs (both near-field and long beam) could be used simultaneously... Overall a great lamp (despite a few minor gripes) which delivers plenty of brightness and convenience in a reasonable size/weight. Definitely recommended.
no regrets
great headlight. im more of a flashaholic than an outdoor enthusiast. i was looking for a hands-free piece for my collection and i selected this. i can see why so many people give this good reviews. it exceeded my standards! i have gone out a few nights with only this light and it performed perfectly. i made it ony of my centerpieces- it is that good!
Absolutely the BEST you can buy!
I researched via the internet and retail stores for a headset that was comfortable and had the lighting power that I was looking for. I do a lot of night fishing and this head light works perfectly and has the illumination needed to light a totally dark area so you have complete visibility with one light. The light level controls are perfect as you can select form a single high beam to multiple lower level LED light levels. It is also guaranteed for life and is well worth the money. You can buy cheaper units but nothing else will compare to this one. Enjoy your purchase as I have mine.
great impressed with price, for what you get
I think for the money your not going to find anything brighter, it just about as bright as my freinds which was 300.00$. I,m a specialist in caving so I,m inpressed by it.
the freakin' bomb!!!
I have very poor night vision and have used the niterider hallide lamp for years. The Princeton Tec is my new favorite. I live on a ranch and have a lot of night work to so, frequently around horses. This lamp allows me to see what I want no problem. I can switch to the small led's at will so as not to scare or blind the horses. In return, they don't trample and kill me. Very comfy. Buy it.
