Purchased this item to climb (sports and bouldering). The fabrid is very light and feels really great; allows you to move with ease and the elastic band at the waist (with adjustable straps) allows you to wear it loose or tight. Great for climbing; the length is perfect, knee-length, shorter than a capri but longer than a regular sport short/knicker (I'm 5'5 and got a size S, which is a little too big at the size, but the extra room for the thighs allows me to move with ease). The fabric is very soft, making you almost forget you're wearing these knickers.
