Love this pack!
I use this pack while mountain biking and kayaking and it is great for both activities. When on my bike, I don't feel the weight at all and I am 4'11 130lbs. and it keeps my water cool all day in spite of being on my back. We have a sit on top kayak and I lashed it to the deck with my dry clothes inside, in spite of all the splashing I did with my paddle the inside zip pocket kept my clothes nice and dry! I love everything about my Origin 5. The handy waist pockets keep my camara and lip balm so I don't have to ask my husband to reach things for me while I am wearing it and the flexibility of feeding the hydration tube through the top or bottom allows for different activities. We have a camping trip planned where we will be hiking in addition to biking and paddling and I am confident that my Origin 5 will be my most important piece of equipment.

Platypus Nailed It
I'm really liking the simple clean design of this pack. Most small hydration pack feel tiny and pull around my 6'2" frame, but this one wraps around well and feels like a real pack. It's great the there's really no stitching on the outside of the pack, and the seams are sealed so it's pretty waterproof. The shoulder straps and backpanel are nicely padded and stretch-woven. The side/wing pockets are smartly designed, and the front stretch panel adds some outside volume too. I guess the only thing I could complain about at this point is that the waterproof zips are stiff to open up, and would benefit from having the metal pulls on them, rather than just cords. But it's nice not to have the zipper flaps that get caught in the way on many other hydration packs.
