Incredible Jersey
I have tried several different jerseys but the PI jacket is by far the best. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone who is wanting a great jersey.

Elite Barrier Jacket
I've had the jacket for one month, so I can't honestly rate durability. However, I can say that the jacket is well made. It's very thin, but I've found that when I place it over a long sleeved jersey, it's holds my body heat very well, even down to the low 40s. It should fit easily into the back pocket of a jersey, if you choose to take it off. I choose to simply unzip it as the outside temperature rises.

It's a light jacket that can fit in a back pocket of a jersey. In light rain, or 45-60 degree weather this piece can be a life saver. With a base, jersey & this jacket fall rides are a dream. Although the jacket doesn't offer any insulation, it's a great outer to stop wind chill or light rain that otherwise could leave you hating life. It's a piece you can wear a few light cycling layers under without a tight feel. I know that spring rides in the light rain this is a piece that you'll want to throw over your thermal jersey & enjoy life. I personally tested it with a base layer, soft shell jacket, with this piece as a outer. I was enjoying cycling in 45 degree weather, like it was a summer day. It will be perfect for those who need a little wind & water protection on the cooler days. If your out on a ride in 45-65 degree weather & it doesn't look good. This light weight piece can be a life saver.

Purchased for running
I purchased the Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier jacket for running and for casual wear. After three uses running I am very pleased with it. One run in low 40s temperatures with light rain and wind is enough for me to say its a great product. With only a short sleeve and long sleeve tech shirt under the jacket in the rain I was actually almost too warm that day. The jacket is very light weight and well put together. The other night at 32 degrees and the same two shirt set up I was warm for my evening run. Zipped up all the way kept my neck warm too. I had tried on the same jacket in a running store and found sizing to run small. I usually wear medium shirts but needed a large in the jacket (I'm 6 feet, 176 lbs). I recommend it!

Elite Barrier Jacket, Great for Southern winters
I was thinking of purchasing a Giordana FormaRed Jacket after reading several reviews. However, winters here down South don't really ever get that cold and thought that getting a jacket like the Giordana would be overkill. So after further research, decided on the Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier jacket. The plan was to wear high quality base layers underneath the jacket depending on the weather. I also purchased the Pearl Izumi P.R.O Series Barrier Base Layer for a cold night. I went riding around 4am and the temp was around 50 degrees. I wore the Izumi base layer and the Izumi Barrier Jacket along with Pearl Izumi Elite Thermal cycling tights. The jacket provided excellent wind protection! I actually had to take off the base layer and just put a t-shirt on because it was too warm and wearing just that, I was very comfortable through my whole ride. I felt no cold drafts leaking into the jacket whatsoever. The fit was perfect! I am 5"11 and weigh 185lbs. I ordered a LARGE. The jacket fist perfectly. The best way to describe how the jacket fits would be similiar to buying clothes ...let's say from Banana Republic or Abercrombie...that are advertised as a SLIM FIT. Not too tight...just enough room to comfortably move around. I hope that helps. The jacket is very light in the way it feels when you wear it. I love it! I have been fortunate to not be able to report on the water resistance part of the jacket. I don't intend on riding when it's raining. I would highly recommend this jacket.
