Husband Loves It
I got this for my husband who is an avid recreational cyclist (not a racer). It is true to size as the small fits him well (5'6'' and 120 lbs) and is contoured for the cyclist wth the longer back, tall neck and waist tightening elastic pull-strap. It has all the features he was looking for - it is a light weight outer layer that is wind proof and water repellant. He found that out this morning as he excitedly show his buddies and he packed it easily in his back shirt pocket. It actually rained and he got to use it - it is not waterproof but it was water resistent. The arm vents were used to prevent overheating in today's early morning August rain at 75F. The fact that it converts to a vest with the sleeves coming off and stowing in a zippered back pocket was an extra bonus given that it was no more expensive than any other (non-convertible) jacket/shell. He should be able to layer it over his shirt and heavier jacket as the temperatures drop into the 40s (maybe even 30s during his winter rides). It is also very bright and the "screaming yellow" is an apt description. I am sure it will be useful on his twilight or early morning rides.
very functional jacket
This jacket is the perfect piece of gear for variable weather. No need to bring arm warmers and wear a vest. This jacket allows you to convert your wind and rain jacket to a vest when you warm up. It's lightweight and very functional for a variety of weather conditions.
Update to 'nice jacket'
Having worn this jacket, the yellow one, many times, I have to say it is great. It fits just right (although I said before I had to get a size up from normal) and is warm enough in the colder mornings at around 35-50 degrees that all I need under it is a simple tee shirt. I have ridden it in the rain and I didn't get wet, it kept me dry. That is a great plus. And in that weather, I have the added visibility of the bright yellow. I wear it going to work, and I usually put it in my rear bag coming home, and it folds up nicely taking up little space. If I wear it and it warms up some, there are several zippers to open the jacket up to the air.
nice jacket
I havn't had a chance to ride with this yet, but it fits well. I had to buy one size larger than I would normally get, they size these too small, even then, the sleeves are a tad tight with a long sleeve shirt underneath, and a little baggy everywhere else, but not too much so, which is fine with me as it probably will allow more movement. I'm glad I had the chance to try one on in my store first. Seems like the company ought to look closer at their sizing. The bright yellow really is bright. I saved 15% off the local dealer, not counting the tax I would have paid, and the free shipping was a nice plus. Oh, and I received it in like two days. How the heck can you beat that? Only wish the seller had more in stock, and of other jackets too, looks like the one I bought was last one available. Very happy with purchase though.
great
This jacket was purchased as a gift and was very much appreciated. I, as the purchaser, appreciated the price which was more than 50% less then our local cycle shop. Item was received when promised in perfect condition. Thank you.
