If you have to trudge around Punta Arenas amidst Magellan gales, at least do it with style. The Patagonia Women's Windproof Darya Coat's herringbone weave has a rich, textured look, and its windproof laminate and polyester/nylon fabric seal out gusts. The microdenier fleece interior bundles you in warmth. A wide collar can be wrapped closed and secured with the small button closure, or worn open and flat across the shoulders. With a 2-way full-zip front closure that has a double wind flap, a built-in waistband that secures with a large button, and front drop-in pockets. Front and rear princess seams lend a comfort fit, and taffeta-lined sleeves with articulation darts allow for smooth on/off. Length falls to above the knee.

Cute coat
I got the gray herringbone. This is a very attractive coat, very nice slim styling for a beltless coat. I still am not sure how it will repel rain drops but since it's generally not downpours in Portland I'm hoping it'll do for days where it sprinkles but is cold. It's rather warm, and I waffled about keeping it as the PNW is surprisingly mild in the winter, but I liked the style so much I kept it. I love the fabric too and hope that it doesn't pill. If it does I may update this review!
Love the coat
Just received this coat - I really like it, like the style, the nifty plaid - just ordered a size too big. I was worried about the "fitted" description, so I ordered a larger size than I normally would, but now I am sending it back for a smaller size. So I can't comment about warmth and durability but I do like the style and am looking forward to wearing it this winter.
