Essential!
I originally purchased this as a bit of luxury for myself to wear while hiking but now that I own it, I realize that it really is an essential for anyone's wardrobe regardless of how many outdoor activities you do--I find myself wearing it all the time. It incredibly comfortable, lightweight & very waterproof! Great buy!

Great Value
Patagonia jackets last forever. This one is lightweight and very packable. Looks good and you can wear it anywhere. It could use a two way zipper for better movement.

awesome jacket
pategonia knows how to make a jacket. They also know style. This jacket is perfect, from the cut to color (I got the rhubarb). I wore it while in the cool and breezy Mendocino headlands. It sure made hiking much more comfortable. I highly recommend this jacket for all outdoor activities, rain or shine.

doesn't disappoint
The Patagonia Torrentshell jacket is exactly what I need when packing for our summit-hiking adventures. I love the fact that it is seam-sealed (very important if you want to stay dry) as well as the micro-fleece lined neck--so soft! I find it offers more face protection in the biting wind than other rain jackets I have used. I am 5'10" with long limbs and the Medium-size is a perfect torso length and sleeve length. Roomy enough to fit a fleece under when it gets cold. I hope to have this jacket for years...I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Well made rain jacket
I researched and tried on a fair number of jackets before deciding on this one and I think I made the right choice. I was amazed at the quality and details of this jacket. It seems like they thought of everything from the hood that stores and also tightens when need in foul weather to the pit zips for those longer hikes. Love the colors and it has a nice flattering fit.
