great pants
I really like these pants. They are comfortable and casual and can be dressed up or down. They are long so I will need to get them hemmed (I am 5'7). At first they were a little short in the crotch area but loosened up with time and are now fine.

I wanted to love these pants!
I recently purchased the Island Hemp Pants in the Chambray/Raven in a size 6. I'm about 5'3, 128 lbs, with an athletic build. I was so excited about these pants and I really wanted to love them, but the fit was just awful on me. I liked the top part of the pants and the way they fit around my waist, but the pant legs were way too long and baggy on me. I felt like I was in pajama pants or a clown in the circus. I would've definitely had to pay to have them hemmed and even then I think the legs would still be too wide and unflattering on me. I loved the material and color of the pants, very light and airy, great for summertime. I wish Patagonia made petites in pants!! If they made the Island Hemp Pants in petite sizes I would probably not have returned them. I think these pants were made for taller women. My friend is taller and she purchased two pairs of the Island Hemp Pants, she loved them that much. So I guess what it all comes down to is if you're short, don't buy them and if you're tall, you will probably love them!
