Now you see it, now you don't. Just like the sun on blustery days, Patagonia's ultralight, ultrapackable Houdini FullZip Jacket can shed fickle weather and then disappear when the skies clear yet it's breathable enough to keep on as you crank through the next squall. The textured tripleripstop nylon fabric proves surprisingly tough while the Deluge® DWR durable water repellent finish wards off flurries six pitches from the deck. The redesigned hood is lower volume and snugs around the face and head threedimensionally with a new, singlepull system. The Houdini Jacket has a drawcord hem and stuffs into its own outoftheway pocket, which now has a secure zipper closure and a burly strong carabiner clipin loop.

great light weight jacket
Repels wind and rain, slim fit, which I prefer. Keep that in mind if planning to use over other clothing. Does not 'whistle' as many nylon wind toppers do as arms move. Vivid colors to choose from. Patagonia is a great company, stand behind their products 100%. Yes, you tend to pay more, but well worth the cost.
Great jacket for misty morning run
I went to running in the misty morning with Houdini. It's very comfortable and light. I enjoyed running with no stress. I love this jacket, so I always run with Houdini.
Great windblock
I really impressed with the material of the houdini that I bought one for my husband. It is so light and smooth, I layered an R1 jacket underneath and good to go in the low 40s and upper 30s with no problem. However it is not a rain jacket.
trail worthy jacket
I purchased this jacket as a light weight option for wind and light rain protection for a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail this year. The weight 2.5 oz was ideal for backpacking and keeping pack weight low. It was very wind resistant and the hood adjusts to fit your head snuggly without drooping in your eyes. I used it on cool mornings to keep warm till the day warmed up. It shed light rain well. In heavy rain it has the same affect as most rain jackets, you get wet either from rain or body condensation. I used it almost daily and in the evenings at camp to keep the mosquitoes from eating me alive. I would recommend this item.
Great Jacket
I am close to the beach I do walks on boardwalk great for this time of the year
