Tried the coat on and it fit perfectly with just enough taper. I'm ready for the weather to get cold so I can bundle up in my new coat. I bought a coat for my daughter also and she looked just beautiful and it fit her perfectly. The coat felt so soft and warm against my skin. The quality of the coat felt like it was more expensive than it was. Thank you.

Perfect winter coat
Bought this for my girlfriend, who REALLY feels the cold. Bottom line- this is the warmest jacket she has ever owned, and she loves the stylish design- you get the warmth of a sleeping bag down below your knees, but without the bulk that makes you look like the Michelin man. Fact the hood can be "hidden" away only adds to the sense of style, while not sacrificing on functionality. Fit is good- I ordered her "normal" size (small), and there is ample room for her to layer up underneath. At 5ft 8in, jacket comes down to below her knees, and when combined with a pair of boots literally keeps her warm from head to toe. This jacket got me a LOT of brownie points- essentially, one of the best received gifts I have ever bought her.

This is a great coat. It keeps the Chicago wind out and keeps me warm all the work. I love the fact that I can hide the hood. It fits very well. I did order one size up so I could layer under if I wanted and it fits exactly the way I wanted it to.

I believe Patagonia is the best Down Jacket Brand in the world. This item does't disappoint me. it's extremely warm down jacket! I don't fear any cold weather since got it. It has many features, it looks very stylish, breathable, windproof and has a high quality like other patagonia items. I am very satisfied with it.

Warm and very comfortable
I bought this coat for a trip to Wisconsin in January. It has exceeded my expectations. It is light weight, close to ankle length, as I am 5'3" 150 lbs., and keeps out all the wind and cold. The large fit me perfectly with room for a sweater underneath. The brown is a beautiful shade and the cut of the coat is more slimming than most down coats. While traveling, I stuffed the coat into my small carry on bag. It stuffs down to nothing and pops out good as new. Others have had questions about the hood. I found that even walking into the wind it stayed in place and was warm. It has an elastic around the hood which holds it in place loosely, without having to tie anything. Some worry about the durability of the snaps and fabric, but I have owned many Patagonia items over the years and have never had a problem with any item and expect this coat to be problem free as well. I recently walked around Boston for two days during a cold snap and was warm and comfortable in this lovely coat.
