Patagonia recently revised the outer face material without compromising the weight, so both the shell and lining remain downproof, highly water repellant and lighter than a lot of similar reinforced alpine down designs. A newly configured quilted panel construction helps reduce bulk while improving your upper body mobility for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Stretch Spandex armholes enhance the overall range of motion.

Classic great Vest
I have 3 down vests (jacket junkie) and this one is by far, my favorite. I'm 5'8 120lbs and I bought a medium, which is great for how I am using it. Could have gone down a size to be a little more form fitting but wanted it to be able to fit over a fleece or sweater. Great buy!

Awesome vest
I bought this vest for my wife. She has wanted a down vest for years, but been reluctant since most make you look like the Michelin Man. This vest fits incredibly well, is perfect warmth for the Pacific Northwest, and the Patagonia quality speaks for itself.

Great Vest
This is by far the best vest and I have tried quite a few! It's very warm, not too bulky, very soft and easy to travel with. I would highly recommend this vest.

my fave piece
This is my favorite piece for the spring and fall. It is a great travel piece also. Compared to the North Face equivalent, this one was more fitted and less bulky, yet seemed warmer. Some people may not like the tighter fit though. I would suggest washing the vest with the delicate setting. After two years of regular wear and wash, the down started to come out at the seams. I've owned a lot of down jackets, vests, etc, so this was something I expected. Patagonia gave me a refund without a problem. They would have exchanged the item except that it was the off-season, so the vest was out-of-stock. I highly recommend this to people who are looking for form and function in a vest.
