Light as a cirrus cloud, yet built for the heavy work of steep hill climbs, sun-drenched trail runs and summer canyoneering. The Women's Capilene 1 Silkweight Stretch Tank is Patagonia's stretchiest baselayer, made to keep you dry and moving freely during active pursuits. The 84% polyester/16% spandex fabric provides 50+ UPF sun protection and has Gladiodor odor control for the garment. It wicks perspiration and rests lightly on the skin, allowing a cooling airflow. Wide straps accommodate sports bras, offset seams feel smooth under pack straps, and reflective logos on the front and center-back add visibility to predawn runs. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Well constructed tank
I have 3 of these. They are well constructed with enough coverage to hide one's bra. This, along with the fact that even the white is opaque, makes them good for use as a summer tank, light enough to use as a color spot under a business blazer, and invisible as an additional underwear layer when it gets cold. They are opaque, too. All in all, it is a hard combination to find. Only downside is that they tend to wrinkle across my bust. People with less than a D cup probably won't have that problem as these are more generously cut than most tanks. Recommended.
perfect summer hiking shirt
I love this shirt for hot weather hiking! It has a bit of stretch that makes it flattering to a woman's figure without binding. It runs slightly longer than other Patagonia shirts, which is great for me. Runs true to size for Patagonia. I wear a medium in all of their shirts. I am 5'8" and wear a 10 or 12. I do not have any problems with the armholes being too big as another reviewer said about this top. I hope that next year they make it in other bright colors. I love all of the capilene layers from Patagonia. I wear the 1's alone in summer and use the other weights as base layers in winter.
great top
I really like this tank by Patagonia. The fabric is extremely lightweight and dries quickly; it doesn't have the "heavy" feel that stretchy fabric sometimes has. I wear xs in all capilene, and I found it fit true to size. It isn't tight on me, however, but it drapes loosely over my stomach. The armpit holes come down lower than other similar tops, but they don't gap on me and you can't see in. So far, I have worn it for rock climbing and road biking, and I really like it.
