Typical patagonia
I'm tall 6'5" so I need long sleeves in a size large. Patagonia never fails me. This Pullover is very light and packs down small. Water proof, wind proof... and the hood is big enough to totally cover my head so my glasses don't get spotted. Great build quality... a little noisy so your not going to sneak up on anyone in this but a great light weight water proof packable pull over.
beyond satisfied
I received the jacket earlier this week and could not be more pleased. It is perfect for those windy, rainy days when it is perhaps too warm for a winter jacket. It allows one to wear a few layers underneath without it being snug. Highly recommended.
Exactly What I Wanted
As an avid climber and daily cyclist, choosing durable and comfortable rain gear is crucial. After purchasing other rain gear online that was a bit bulky, I wanted something that was easier to move around in and could pack smaller. The Torrentshell Pullover was purchased on a whim and I honestly didn't know what to expect besides what the picture showed. When it came, I was more than pleased. Super lightweight yet acts like a shield against anything coming my way. The first time I got to really use it was during a spring thunderstorm coming home from work and when I got home, I couldn't have been happier and drier. Super comfortable, much more comfortable than my high-dollar rain gear. Very breathable and the hood fits perfectly. I've also used it on several recent camping trips, sleeping under the stars, no tent, wearing the pullover and just a sleeping bag and slept like a baby. Woke up feeling great. It's the perfect blend of warmth and protection combines with breathability and lightweight. I can't wait to try it climbing. The only thing I wish is that since it's a pullover, that it had a small front pouch pocket.
Go-To For Wind And Rain
I purchased this jacket several months ago, and have been quite pleased with it. The first thing that drew me to it was the color- with a green like that, I am often tempted to wear it when the weather doesn't even warrent its use. One of the best things about it is its packability- it stuffs into its inside chest pocket, for easy storage in my backpack. This pullover blocks rain like no other. So far I've used it on a trip from Northern Washingon, all the way down to coast to California. Right now, I use it regularly living in Denali, AK. I've encountered a lot of wind and rain on these adventures, and this pullover has more than paid for itself in use.
L.O.V.E.
I love this jacket, I thought it was really comfortable and it does it's job well! The only thing to watch out for is the fit, I have purchased mens size small from Patagonia in the past and I thought that this jacket fit a little more snugly than the others I own. Otherwise I love it and would highly recommend it.
