soft n comfy
I purchased this with out sizing it first, from experience most patagonia garments i own have a true to size fit. This however has an old school fit. Its not very good for putting layers on top. however very nice as a stand alone pice after surfing or hanging by the campfire. not windproof but this has a different purpose it seems. i am 155 lbs and 5'11 and the medium was if anything a little big. excellent quality build. reinforced seams, no shortcuts on this garment. will buy agin, but this one might last forever!
AWESOME!
I live in fleece. Lots of brands, lots of styles, but I LIVE in fleece. I have to say that Patagonia's Simple Synchilla jacket is THE best fleece jacket I own (and I own a bunch!). Not a wind stopper, but for everyday use in temperate conditions, it is my "go t" outerwear garment. Looks/performs great outdoors as well as to/from the office. Quality, style, and performance are unparalleled. Fit and finish are THE BEST. Arms may be a little on the long side ... r may arms my be on the short side, but otherwise I'm telling you that every human on the planet ought to have a Synchllla jacket handy ... because they are infinitely practical!
Handsome, Versatile, Efficient
My goal was to replace a black fleece jacket with a light gray version that could mask snippets of my own white hair falling on the shoulders and also the collection of dog hair that made the black jacket look sloppy. I searched the web for some time before running across this Patagonia jacket. It's a bit pricey, but other than that, it's the perfect jacket: high-quality fleece, careful tailoring, zippered pockets (including a front pocket that's quite useful), warm enough to take the edge off cold mornings and to protect you when you're walking in a cool wind, a collar that zips up around the neck. I'm delighted with this purchase!
Patagonia gear is always reliable
I have been wearing Patagonia clothes on and off since the early 80s (yeah I am not a 30 something!). It has always been well constructed and covered by a great lifetime warranty. I wanted to get a jacket to wear on cool spring and fall mornings and also to layer under a windshell in colder weather. This jacket hit the mark. It is quality craftsmanship and a simple understated styling as well. You can't go wrong with a Patagonia garmet.
Perfect
This jacket was just what I was looking for - A warm, comfortable, lighter weight, full zip fleece. I wear it most everyday. It works well for cooler mornings and evenings out too. This is a jacket you will enjoy wearing. The quality is outstanding.
