The critic's choice for hard-charging descents and high-flying aerials, the Patagonia Rubicon Pants for Men are made from a durable, 2-layer waterproof/breathable 100% stretch-woven nylon shell with excellent resistance to gravity-oriented locales. The interior is lined above the knees with brushed polyester mesh for light insulation and efficient wicking. Thigh vents, easily adjustable below a hip belt, regulate warm air on the uphills. Scuff guards protect from abrasion; fully featured gaiters hold firm with gripper elastic. At the waist, a soft tricot lining glides smoothly against skin. Articulated knees. Loops on the rear yoke seam connect to the powder skirt on all Patagonia Ski/Snowboard jackets. Two handwarmer pockets and two thigh pockets (one with an integrated pass holder) keep you organized.

Perfect Balance
Best snowboarding pants I've used. Moderate insulation - handle cold days with just long underwear underneath. Not too bulky. More trim than a lot of "boarder" pants without being too snug.
Great pants
Sturdy and high quality. I tend to go through ski pants quickly because my inside edge cuts the cuff of the opposite leg. These pants have really good protection against that. And they look and feel great.
Great backcountry pants
These pants are made with a super tough material that withstands snags and rips on even the burliest bushwhacks in the backcountry. The thigh vents are well designed for optimal heat shedding on those hot spring days and the waist tabs provide a superior fit so you don't need a belt or suspenders. Only downside I've encountered is the crouch of the pants tends to ride a little high. Other than that, I love them.
Great pants, tough as nails and usefull pockets.
Just got back form a week in Jackson Hole Wy. The Rubicon pants ate up everything Jackson had to offer. Skied in every condition from blue bird sun to waist deep powder and everything in between. I love the pockets and how they are angled to be accessable when you are on the chair lift. Only negative is the size. I am a 32 waist and ordered the 32. I had to cinch up the waist tabs all the way to get a proper fit (glad that option was there or would have needed suspenders). Overall a great ski pant.
