Shorts for yard work or downtown
These shorts are made from a heavy weight canvas type material which seems as if it will hold up to anything the yard or trail might throw at them. They are however very stylish which allows for them to be worn for a casual evening on the town. They have plenty of pocket space to hold keys, phone, wallet, power bars and or small tools for the yard. The fit seems true to size.

Unbelievably comfortable and super easy to wear them from work to the park to dinner... I got caulk on a pair at work, tried removing it with xylene and sand paper and they still look great! Ultra comfortable and still up to tons of abuse.

very good quality nice fitting shorts. Second pair, will last a while, highly recommended .Found a pair on vacation, should have bought more. No need to look for shorts for a while.

Better Than Ever, But Size UP!
I've been wearing the old style Patagonia Stand Up Shorts with 5" inseams for about 25 years now. And while the years have been very kind to my physique, at my age shorts cut that high just look a little creepy. So thank heaven for the "new" Stand Up's with the 7" inseam. Same old quality, but they look even better. They do run very much on the small side, however, in my opinion. I am 5'10" and 165 lbs. and most 33 inch waist pants require a belt to keep them from falling down, but the Stand Up's in 33" were too snug. They're just perfect with the 34" waist however. I will be ordering another pair before the Bluebonnets bloom in Texas, without question! As always, Altrec's customer service in getting me fixed up with the right size was second-to-none!!

solid pair of shorts
These shorts became my new favorite from the moment they arrived. Though comfortable immediately, they will get softer with every wash. Show no signs of wearing out after a summer of constant wear. I would advise against putting these in the dryer -- they're cotton and you don't want to take the risk of ruining your new favorites... Will own more.
