my favorite hiking shorts
These are currently my favorite hiking shorts; lightweight, breathable, plenty of room to move but not billowy. I also like that they don't have big, puffy, cargo pockets. The nice zip side pocket and rear pocket provide plenty of security and the front pockets have mesh bottoms for draining.

Great shorts
I bought a pair of these shorts recently from a clearance rack up in Maine and absolutely loved the way they fit/feel. I then went and bought three more from Altrec. They're light, comfortable and fit great. I do wish there were more color options, and also I noticed that the design of the belt clasp has changed. I did like the older belt better, but it's not a big deal. I highly recommend these shorts. They are very well made.

The best short pants
This pants is length in a knee. This is light, durable, cool and very comfortable. Because the excursion of the foot is very wide, This pants adapts to any sport. I use this pants for cycling.

Amazing shorts
The best everyday short I've ever owned. I use these for fly fishing, riding my bike and around town because of how comfortable they are. These shorts are comfortable, they keep me dry, and just add on top of that, they look great! I love Patagonia at Altrec prices!

Excellent
These are near perfect shorts. They are meant for hiking and are durable with extra pockets. But they are light and comfortable enough that I use them for running. The gusseted crotch let the shorts move with you and there is good ventilation as well.
