When temperatures plunge, Patagonia's Men's Fitz Roy Down Vest crosses the boundaries between backcountry and front with a solitary function: warming your core. It now uses a lighter shell fabric that's durable, windproof, downproof and made from a 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish to protect the 800-fill-power down. Brushed polyester lines the neck for next-to-skin comfort. Details include zippered handwarmer pockets, a drawcord hem, an interior zippered stash pocket and a stuff sack.

Warm and not bulky
I love the vest! It is well made and warm but not bulky and can fit in a small bag or as a layer underneath another jacket. I would buy it again and am actually thinking about giving it to my Dad for Christmas! Highly recommended!!
Light and Warm
The first thing I noticed when I got this vest was how light it was. It's great insulation for the cool spring weather and very comfortable. Also, the pockets are underneath the insulation layer so they're always warm. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a little too puffy. It would be fine for a jacket but too "balloony" for a vest (for my taste).
Great Vest
This vest is really nice, it is lightweight but warm. I especially like the stuff sack that comes with it. Now, one thing to take in consideration though is... this is not the thickest vest out there, though it does have the 700 fill power down, there is not much down. But other than that, it is probably the best looking vest out there. Definitely an all-season vest, I can easily wear this during a cool summer night and even here in Fairbanks in the -30 I am fine for a while. It also has a fleece lined collar and fleece lined pockets on one side so your chapped dry hands don't cling to it. They definitely had the customer in mind while designing it. I recommend this!
