Great Vest, Poor Fit
I spent some time deliberating on this vest over the course of several shopping trips to my local retailer. It is a very nice vest - warm, comfy and complete with the style and quality you'd expect from Patagonia. However, I'd definitely recommend trying this particular vest on in person if you can manage it. At 6 ft, 170 lbs, the L size was just a bit too small for me, and the XL was too big. On the last trip to the store I had my parents come along, and they verified the awkward fit. I'm right between sizes, it appears, so try to check this one out before buying. I'm docking a few stars therefore, because the cut could have been much better.

Super warm and versatile
I really dig this vest. It's so versitile and warm. I take it on every trip where cold may be a factor. The 700 fill down is light and lofts up pretty well. My only gripe is the zipper snagged the fabric one time and tore a hole in the ripstop polyester. I put a small patch on it and it works fine. I guess that just gives it character.
