When that flannel shirt just isn't cutting it in the face of a brisk fall wind, pull on the sheep-inspired coziness of the Patagonia Men's Classic Retro-X Vest. This toast-fest vest surrounds your core with plush, high pile Synchilla fleece and blocks the wind with a breathable/windproof barrier sandwiched between the outer fleece and the moisture wicking brushed mesh lining. The chest pocket stands out in old-school Supplex nylon and the stand-up collar shields your neck and matches the pocket. A full front zip on this fleece vest is backed by a wind flap to help seal in warmth and 2 front zippered pockets hold your gloves, hat and lighter as you kneel down to blow on the fire you just lit in the woodstove. Technical enough to wear on a trail run, this retro-styled vest is designed with town-ready looks. Ladies looking for a warm, huggable mountain man won't be able to resist you in the Patagonia Classic Retro-X Vest for men.

Wonderful Vest
I've been wanting this vest for a long time and finally bought it. I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and warm it is. It's perfect to wear hiking on a chilly day or just as a casual vest as I do. Patagonia's quality is un-beatable.
he hasnt taken it off since xmas!
i bought this vest for my husband for christmas....and he hasnt taken it off since! we are outdoors in the winter a great deal; skiing, hockey, playing paddle, etc. so i figured the windproof element of this vest would be perfect especially since he doesn't like bulky jackets. i bought him the narwahl (dark grey) color which is terrific! the fit is perfect, too...he's 6' and 200ish lbs so i bought an xl. bottom line: this is a great vest for all outdoor pursuits!
top notch
A wonderful item if you can nail the sizing. runs a little small. Windbloc works well and keeps you toasty. I love it!
Best vest you'll spend money on
And yeah, it is worth the $$$. It is typical Patagonia...top notch style, quality, and versatility.
a great all-purpose vest
At 6'2" and 220 pounds, a large fit just right. It's a snug fit and the windstopper does its job well. A great vest for layering. The collar is a little on the stiff side, but I don't wear vest or jacket collars down anyway. Great in the spring and fall, or under a thinner winter coat.
