Thick pile warmth with the added benefit of a windproof laminate.
The Patagonia Men's Classic Retro-X Jacket remembers when Steamboat Springs was strictly a ranching community and skiing was merely a mode of transportation through the snow laden Rockies. An homage to the rough and tumble ways of the past, this brawny, enduring fleece cuts the cold like it's nothing and stops wind in its tracks.
Designed for windproof protection that doesn't sacrifice breathability, the Retro-X boasts a protective membrane in between a recycled exterior and ultra soft, moisture-wicking interior. Y-joint articulation in the sleeves makes for unhindered movement and complete mobility whether you're on a late autumn crag or on the mountain. There's a reason that classics never go out of style.

Retro X
Love it. Own 4 different colors. Now my kids swipe them. Duranble, warm and has the ability to be worn alone or with layers. I highly recommend this jacket.
Excellent Jacket
This jacket is excellent in pretty cool to very cold weather, it blocks the wind and has plenty of room to layer beneath, despite an earlier review. While fly fishing (with snow on the banks) the jacket arm got soaked but the jacket wicked the cold wet water off my arms and dried fairly quickly - I thought I was in for a miserable day after that spill but it turned out great. Great product all around.
Exceptional warmth.
The jacket provides exceptional warmth and can keep you warm at surprisingly low temperatures. Windproof and stylish, a great jacket that you can wear nearly the entire winter and never get cold!
Very great product
I am a college student at Texas Tech University. Recently, the Patagonia brand has become very popular for students. I finally talked myself into purchasing one even though the prices seemed high. Though, the money spent was well worth it.
Awesome Jacket
I chose this jacket because my college-age kids love all things Patagonia. I was not disappointed in any way. The retro-styling, color and fabric make it a clear winner. It is a little boxy in the cut, also running a tad to the smaller side, so if you are in-between sizes, order up. This jacket will be in my son's closet for a long, long, time.
