Great product
I have several Patagonia Capilene zip turtlenecks of weights 2,3, and 4. Some are 4-5 yrs old. The fit is great. They clean well (I do a lot of hand washing of these while on hiking trips) and they dry fast. The 4 weight is terrific for cold weather aerobic activity (like snowshoeing). I also wear these around the house on those January days when we dial down our thermostat. While hiking, I always carry an extra to layer up if the weather changes.

Not just a baselayer.
This works very well as a cold-weather baselayer, but I often find myself wearing it as a lightweight top during cooler weather without a shell. It is light, very comfortable, and warm with a great fit.

Use for everything!
Slim enough for a baselayer but not so tight that you can't use it as a pullover jacket in the Spring and Fall. I have 3 and wear them for everything.

Excellent!
I use a Capilene 3 baselayer for most activities, but for colder winter ski days, I wanted to try the Capilene 4 under my hardshell pants and jacket for a little extra warmth. It is just right: warmer, but not bulky. Somewhere between the Capilene 3 and the old Capilene R0.5 line in thickness. I *love* Patagonia's Capilene line.

My girlfriend saw mine in the brown and had to have one......of course she loved it and now we match! Serious layering garment and looks great too!
