A zip-neck high-performance baselayer ideal for aerobic activities.
Ideal as a baselayer for endurance activities in cool to cold temperatures, Capilene 3 moves moisture effectively to keep you dry. Its brushed interior retains heat, while its smooth jersey exterior glides easily beneath layers. The fit is contoured and sleek without being restrictive. Made from quick-wicking, fast-drying and insulative 64% post-consumer recycled (and 100% recyclable) Capilene 3 polyester, with Gladiodor natural odor control. Imported. Common Threads Recycling ProgramResearch shows that the environmental impact of recycling worn-out Capilene base layers into new polyester fiber is significantly lower than making that same fiber from virgin materials. Taking into account that worn-out garments are diverted from trash incinerators, making new polyester fiber from recycled garments results in an energy savings of 76% and a CO2 emissions [greenhouse gasses] reduction of 71%, versus creating that fiber from new raw material. Capilene Core PerformanceCapilene base layers afford quick-drying, next-to-skin moisture management for all activities in all conditions ? from high-altitude bivies to sun-soaked water sports. Best 1/4 Zip I've Purchased
Purchased this after buying several 1/4 zips, it's obvious the Patagonia brand is simply a step up from some of the other popular outdoor clothing brands out there. You will typically end up paying slightly more for the Patagonia brand, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This 1/4 zip fits perfectly (I'm 5'11" 190lbs and wear a large), is comfortable, and wicks well. I wore it in a 5K recently and it was perfect for summer morning weather.
Great baselayer
I've been using these for several years now. They are very versatile, and packable. I think the Capilene 3 is especially good for winter snow-shoeing or other endurance activities. The only drawback is that these cost quite a bit of money.
First item from Patagonia
First item purchased from Patagonia... purchased a large. I'm 5'10", 32-33 waist, 172lbs and the large is fairly slim fitting yet I have room to put a layer underneath with ease. Have hiked with it in sub zero weather (Celsius) under a shell and jogged with it in 10C (50F) weather and it is comfortable and wicks well. Has been washed a dozen or so times and seems to look the same as first obtained. Great product, would recommend!
Great baselayer
Wore them in hot and extremely cold environments, up to 22,000 ft. It always kept me warm and most importantly, dry. Zip neck adds versatility and comfort. Totally recommended.
Favorite Shirt
This shirt is perfect for all around use. I recently went on 3 backpacking trips and wore this all the time. Dries super quickly and easily handwashes in a sink if need be. Perfect shirt all around, I will be buying more.
