The open, highly breathable knit and feathery weight of the Men's Capilene 3 Midweight T-Neck from Patagonia affords unhindered airflow, excellent wicking for endurance activities in warm to moderate temperatures. Because of its low-bulk design and streamlined fit, Capilene 3 also acts an excellent layering piece during colder weather. The curvilinear construction provides an updated, fast-forward fit, with seams that won't chafe under a pack or climbing sling. Made of quick-wicking, fast-drying 54% post-consumer recycled (and 100% recyclable) Capilene 3 polyester, with Gladiodornatural odor control. Made in USA. Common Threads Recycling ProgramResearch shows that the environmental impact of recycling worn-out Capilene base layers into new polyester fiber is significantly lower than making that same fiber from virgin materials. Taking into account that worn-out garments are diverted from trash incinerators, making new polyester fiber from recycled garments results in an energy savings of 76% and a CO2 emissions [greenhouse gasses] reduction of 71%, versus creating that fiber from new raw material. Capilene Core PerformanceCapilene base layers afford quick-drying, next-to-skin moisture management for all activities in all conditions ? from high-altitude bivies to sun-soaked water sports.

Great Midweight Baselayer
I really like the Capilene 3 it slides into my parka with such ease and is not bulky in anyway. I wore it the other day when it was 36 degree's and I was very comfortable. It's amazing how such a lightweight fabric can keep you nice and warm. Good job Patagonia!
Perfect
It has the best combination of quality , style, and is very practical. I have three of them and I love them.
Almost perfect....
I needed a T neck base layer that offered superior wicking and warmth, and was over-joyed to find Patagonia making these Cap3 Tnecks. Loved the colors (got the green and the black) and design. I thought I'd found the "perfect" garment for my needs, buttttt, with high output activity...... oy vey, vat a shtink! and I'm not an odoriferous guy generally. With a little research I decided to try a Merino wool T under the Cap3 and voila! No more stank, and even better performance, for my needs. I now do have the perfect garment. One other small item is that if you wash it with any other item that has velcro or anything that can snag, (zippers, etc.) these seem to be REALLY susceptible to pulls and pilling in general, so treat them with care and like the investment they are. That's about all I can think of for now.
Great Shirt!
The Patagonia Capilene Midweight T-Neck is a great shirt. It is very comfortable with a great fit. I wear it all the time for outdoor activities, at work, and when going out. It is lightweight, but warm... but not too warm. I have also worn it under a sport coat for "dressier" situations. Try it... you'll like it!
Nice and warm
Just what I had in mind as a heavier base layer. Nice and warm and soft to the touch. Would love to see this less expensive but seems to be made well and I should have it for awhile.
