During long runs or active days under the sun, the Men's Capilene 2 Lightweight T-Shirt from Patagonia offers cool breeze comfort. This shirt is fashioned in Capilene 2 that features an open knit that encourages airflow to keep you cool and provides excellent wicking and exceptional breathability to keep you dry. Also isolative enough for chilly days when winter hasn't quite released its grip, it's the fastest-drying of our performance baselayer fabrics. With a classic neck and elbow-length sleeves that stay put. Raglan-style sleeves and flat-ribbed underarm panels merge out of the way of straps to eliminate chafe. Made from 4-oz 100% polyester (54% recycled) with Gladiodor natural odor control for the garment. The Men's Capilene 2 Lightweight T-Shirt is recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Great Hiking T-Shirt
This is a great lightweight T-Shirt for hiking. I like to wear synthetic button up long sleeve shirts for hiking (Like the Columbia Silver Ridge), but also like a lightweight underlayer. Capilene 2 is perfect for this purpose. I get the ability to regulate my temperature with the outer shirt - while this lightweight garment adds comfort. When I pull off my pack I don't have the cold and clammy feeling of cotton. These are easily laundered, and dry fast. Another winner from Patagonia!
Excellent shirts in warm weather, wicks moisture really well. Cool colors - colors don't fade. Excellent fit for thin build - broad in the shoulders small waist. Very durable. Doesn't resist odors well like merino wool so have to change these out regularly if the weather is hot and your sweating.
Now i'm torn between this and Cap 1.
Own a few of the long sleeve versions of this shirt, and have always been impressed with the comfort and temperature regulation. I own a few Cap 1 that i wear when it's just blazing hot out, but am tilting more and more to making my Cap 2 my go to shirt. I bought one size up to wear as a t-shirt, other than having to remember that when ordering, no complaints. Will buy more when i need some new shirts for the trail.
A nearly perfect shirt
Works great by itself or as a base layer in cooler weather. Snug fit but fabric moves nicely so it is not at all binding. Weighs next to nothing and dries quickly. What's not to like?
Great baselayer T
I like my baselayers to fit snug - I'm 6' and 180 and the Patagonia Cap 2 T-shirt in a medium fits fantastic. Good length to tuck in or wear out. Wicking capabilities are well....it's Capilene, they are awesome. It does the job it's supposed to. Doesn't stink after wearing it for a few days and dries quickly. I've layered it with a Cap 3 zip neck, synthetic sweater and a shell - no problems in terms of friction between clothing. Not a better base T on the market in my opinion.
