Great socks
I've only used these socks a couple of times so, although the build quality is high, I can't comment on durability. They are very thick and perfect for my hiking in the Rockies. I haven't had any problems with wet feet, I assume because they wick away the moisture. I'm looking forward to using them in with snow shoes this winter. I purchased the XL and they were perfect for my size 15 feet.
Excellent socks
These socks are the thickest, warmest socks I have ever had. They are durable and do not slip or slide when you have them on. The only negative is that they fit very tightly. Overall, the best socks I have ever had.
Best socks ever!
When I received these socks, I can't believe how thick they are! They are extremely comfortable to wear, and feel smooth and silky on skin: this is a huge benefits to me, because some other wool socks I owned feel kinda itchy sometime. One downside of these socks, although not really their fault, is you have to prepare boots half size larger than you normally wear to make the room of these super beefy socks! No big deal, cause with this baby on my feet, I feel like I can go to top of the Mt Everest without getting cold!
great sock- worth the extra money
These are by far the warmest socks I have ever tried. I bought them for an Acancogua climb and was happy I did. Definitely felt warmer in my plastics with these than the other heavyweight socks I had used in the past. Sock is very thick - which was great for me since I have tiny feet and even the smallest boot size is too big - so it is necessary to have a bit more room in your boots. But if you are used to two to three sock layers, this is a better way to go. I used with a liner and did fine (actually, probably best to use with a liner as you will need to wash the socks less so they will maintain the warmth and cushion for longer).
