best wide brim hat
I bought this hat and tested it out on a 7-day backpacking trip in Yosemite. I wore it every day, and even when the temp ranged into the 90's, it was still comfortable enough to continue wearing. It does not get soaked with sweat like other hats during strenuous activities. It also cleans well: soak and dry. I don't usually use wide brimmed hats because I am always scanning for birds, but this 2-inch brim is easy to shape when you need a better view. Also works perfect with a mosquito net.
Keeps TheSun off Comfortably
My old reliable Columbia hat was getting a bit shopworn so thot I'd try this one. Just as comfortable and quality made. When working outside in over 90 degree weather it's a must for preventing burns and keeping you from melting
Perfect
It was exactly what I was looking for. It's comfortable lightweight and blocks out alot of sun with it's wide brim. I was very happy that I was able to order a size medium becaucse I have a small head and it fit perfect. I bought the mushroom one and now Im looking forward to ordering the beige one.
Create your own shade...
This is a super comfortable hat that shades your face, while allowing ventilation for your head. The fabric appears to be very durable and is well put together. In the short time I've had mine, it's gone along on hiking and kayaking trips. The strap is removable or can be pulled up over the brim if you want it with you just in case.
LOVE THIS HAT
I bought this hat in the lighter color a year ago and liked it so much I just bout a second in the darker color. Fits well and works great for hot weather. I use on kayak, at work and camping or hiking when warmth isn't needed. I personally like to take the "strap" off.
