Brim large enough to keep rain out
I like the chin retaining string to keep the wind from blowing it off. The size is nice; particularly the wide brim. It is packable and lightweight. Glad I wore it in Ireland! Has been great for misty football games.

I love this hat!
I went through several other sombreros before I settled on this one. It keeps me dry in downpours and cool in the hot sun. It looks good too! I get compliments on it. Get one!

best hat for sun and rain
Great hat for keeping sun and rain off the face. I use it all the time. Love the adjustable head and chin strap.

Perfect for golf.
Used the hat for the first time during an all-day golf outing. The first 4 hours of the outing was intermitent downpour and drizzle. The hat, light and cool, kept my head and neck dry as a bone, while the chin strap resisted the winds attempts to dislodge the head-piece. Later, when the sun came out, I was perfectly comfortable with the protection the brim afforded and light cool nature of this product. I will buy another Outdoor Research hat in the future.

Stylish and Functional
This hat works great to keep the rain off and looks really good as a rain hat or a nuevo cowboy hat! The wide brim kept me protected from the sun as well. In both warm and cool temperatures, my head was comfortable with the hat on.
