Highly compressible windproof gloves for running, backpacking and tight storage spaces.
Designed to insulate your fingers in breezy conditions while hiking, running, backpacking and Nordic skiing, the Outdoor Research Gripper Gloves feature warm and windproof WINDSTOPPER fleece insulation backed with rugged Suregrip palm reinforcements for abrasion resistance. The lightweight and compressible construction make the Outdoor Research Gripper Gloves a superb choice for tight storage situations, especially if you're limited to the diminutive confines of a backpack or kayak (consider the combined weight and required space of windproof glove shells and fleece liners and you'll see what we mean). A tapered wrist configuration minimizes heat loss by keeping warm air trapped inside the gloves.

Warm gloves
It's soft and windstopper, warm gloves.I bought them for cold whether but they are not waterproof ,So I use them only at home. OR is named with its gloves and have a well-deserved reputation.
Great gloves--good dexterity, warm but NOT waterproof!
I bought these gloves for the bitter midwest winter. I didn't want the usual bulky gloves. The OR Windstopper gripper gloves have been up to the task. They are soft and warm, have good dexterity but I often forget that they are not waterproof! Remember that and you will never regret the purchase.
Do it all glove
I have 2 pair of these gloves! A pair in oxide and classic black. I use them for snowshoeing, dog walking, 0 degree skate skiing, and cold weather nordic classic. These are my go to, do all gloves!
Gloves that can eliminate freezing fingers
When I first found and ad about these gloves, I thought it was unreal. So unreal that I had to purchase a set just to try them out, in the chance that they would do the job. The job of keeping my fingers completly warm while scraping the ice off my van during the coldest days of Ohio weather. And after I recieved the set (in faster time than expected), I was still wondering of their abilities when I saw that they were not very thick. From past experience, the thicker the better. But... You know what...I was flaborgasted to find my fingers not only NOT FROZEN, but actually warm. I would recommend these gloves and altrec.com for any outdoor wear. Thanks again for not letting me down.
Essential Gear
I recently wore out a pair because I use them all the time. They're great for a wide variety of conditions (really everything excluding severe cold or wet conditions). The Windstopper allows the glove to remain fairly thin for great dexterity. This is one item that always goes with me, whether climbing, backpacking or cross country skiing.
