Perfect for All Your Winter Adventures
I bought these gaiters last year for snowshoeing. When I first took them out of the box I was impressed with how durable the fabric felt, and the full length Velcro closure is very aggressive. It has yet to let any snow through. Ive used them for snowshoeing as well as winter hiking and climbing in the cascades. Ive hiked all day in them and been very comfortable, they breath well and don't make your legs uncomfortably warm like other gaiters Ive worn. Overall these are the best pair of gaiters Ive owned and I expect them to last many more seasons.
Rocky Mountain High Gaiters
I bought these gaiters for my boyfriend. He really likes them because they are lightweight and breathable so his calves don't get too hot, but they keep him completely dry. They are also nice because they fit over his xc ski boots tight enough to keep snow out, and are big enough to fit over his Keens and also his work boots. The strap at the top goes as tight as you need it and is easy to adjust, so you don't have to worry about them falling down. He is 6' and 180 lbs, I bought the XL based on his shoe size (11)... they fit his big calves and have enough space for him to wear jeans without them being all bunched up and uncomfortable. The only complaint he has is that the velcro closure can be a bit of a pain to get on straight, so a pair with hooks/clasps may be better if you hate velcro.
Workhorse
Soild pair of gaiters, comfortable, and high quality. My only problem with them is that because they are nylon they do not hold up to briar bushes too well; the nylon begins to fray. I've done a lot of hiking in these, and they have held up very well otherwise.
good sturdy product
I bought a pair of these for a recent trek through the Rwandan jungles. They held up very well. They were thick enough to provide excellent protection without being overly bulky or heavy. Would definitely recommend.
Good Gaiters
I bought these to keep snow, mud, dirt and debris out of my boots and they do just that. I live and hike in the Appalachians, here trail conditions and weather varies a lot, but after a dozen hikes this winter my feet have stayed dry. Also, I was pleased to discover that brush and briars slip right off them.
