very good outdoor pants
This is my second Equinox Convertible Pants, I like its attention to detail, for example: zipper colors different for each leg, DWR finish, lightweight, Drawcord ankle adjustments, UPF 50+, etc. Don't overlook all those combination, I find that quite hard to have them all in another pants. When I carefully checking all the parts like pocket inside before I writing this review, they are surprisingly still in very good condition after 2 years usage.

excellant hiking pant
Ok so MH removed the drawcord hem from this years Mesa convertible, my fav hiking pant.. Enter the Outdoor Research Equinox, great fit, soft yet durable, (better than MH in this area), lightweight super quick drying and wicking.. DRAWCORD hem at leg keeps out the bugs, sand, pebbles.. Love this feature! Could benefit from a included belt, backup velcro at snap closure and a zip key/coin pocket and, cargo pocket for maps, that would make this full featured and better than any MH pant.. still because of premium material and drawcords I will choose this over my other branded pants for my 10 day treks.. becoming a huge fan of Outdoor Research products!
