Of many, this has become my favorite sun/rain hat!
I am surprised how much I love the snap-up brim. It's funky not frumpy, flattering, comfortably cool, and practical. The fabric is beautiful, stretchy and very lightweight. Haven't tried it in a squall, but feel confident that this hat will serve me well in a variety of weather. Love the sizing of OR hats!

great hat
I am really glad I picked out this hat. This hat is comfortable, good for a hot day and very light weight. It is also packable, retaining its shape afterward.

Saves the skin.
I'm the mailman and I wear a hat all summer. My last hat disintegrated after 3 years of wear and washing. This hat is well made, lightweight, breathable, and the brim is ingeniously designed to keep it's shape. I was accustomed to an unformed bucket hat so the brim is taking some getting used to. I even washed it in the hopes that the brim would collapse a little to no avail. But if you are looking for a well made hat to take care of your precious skin, I can recommend this wholeheartedly.

A wonderful hat
This hat is fantastic. Lightweight and cool, it is very comfortable. I especially like the floppy brim, which is very flattering. I can never find hats big enough, but the extra large fits me perfectly.

a good alternative
The halcyon gives a reasonably priced alternative for a rain and sun hat. Light weight and packable.
