Like its namesake, the Osprey Viper 13 Hydration Pack is small, quick and will take your outdoor sports ability to a new, deadly level. This lightweight backpack provides 13 L of space for carrying the necessary gear on a full-day bike ride, trail run or hike. Bring an extra layer and some snacks in the main compartment and keep your extra parts and tools organized in the internal sleeves. Water is easily accessible from the 3 L bladder included with the pack and a magnetic bite-valve attachment on the elastic sternum strap keeps the hose under control. A top zippered pocket holds sunglasses, a stretch mesh shoulder pocket is perfect for music, phone or energy gel and a front stretch mesh pocket quickly stashes gear and keeps it easily accessible. Attach your helmet to the Viper LidLock helmet clip on the top of the daypack when youre ready for a break.

PUTS CAMELBAK TO SHAME
AS A LONG TIME USER OF CAMELBAK PRODUCTS FOR SEVERAL YEARS, I FEEL CONFIDENT IN MAKING THAT STATEMENT (SORRY) I'M A FORMER MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACTOR AND CONSULTANT AND TO SAY I'VE SPENT MY DUE TIME ON GUN RANGES ALL AROUND THE WORLD WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. BUT STAYING HYDRATED IS KEY TO SURVIVING THE HEAT AND ELEMENTS AND BEING ABLE TO PERFORM. I USE HYDRATION PACKS ALSO ALONG MY FAMILY TRIPS, FISHING TRIPS, ETC. THE OSPREY PACKS FEATURES CAPTILIZE ON SOME OF THE CONS THAT CAMELBAK SLACKED ON OVER THE YEARS. THE OPENING IS 100X BETTER, AND THE STICHING AND STRAPS ARE BETTER FOR LOAD BEARING. EXCELLENT PRODUCT.
Comfortable, but lacks durable quality
i'm an avid hiker, do anywhere from 3 to 20 miles on the AT and other locations daily, as far as the osprey viper 13 goes. . . it has good comfort, easily adjustable and very light weight (which are some of the reasons i purchased it for trail running), but as far as durability i wouldn't recommend or put my name on this pack, or maybe any osprey pack, i recently purchased the osprey raptor 10 and now the viper 13 and both packs have had multiple issues with seems coming undone and shoulder straps breaking and waste band straps fraying at the seems, . . . like i said they are very comfortable packs for people that aren't serious about hard trail running and everyday use, i bought both packs and within 3 months both have to go back for their warranty coverage, its not even like the packs were overloaded, , i usually carry a rain jacket, first aid kit, flashlight, whistle and water. . . the only other good thing is ospreys lifetime warranty, thank goodness, but u still have to pay for the return shipping which is kinda disappointing b'c it seems like i'm going to be sending these packs back quite often, but like i said other than that the osprey viper has better organization pockets than the raptor and they are both comfortable and light just not the greatest in seam construction
