Great Snowboarding Pack
I recently purchased this pack for sidecountry/ backcountry, day long, snowboarding trips in Colorado. So far, it's been excellent. I'm 6'1, almost 200 lb., and bought the Large and it fits perfectly. I mainly haul extra food and water and layers for my wife and I; the pack has more than enough space for everything I need. I've been able to fit two extra pairs of gloves, two rolled up fleeces and two rolled up base layers in the back, plus extra food without feeling like the back is too bulky to ride on the lifts. And that does seem to be the key - riding comfortably on the lifts. I do have to sit an an angle because the size of the pack, but we were using quad-lifts with four people without any difficulty. The pack sits well and all the weight feels centered once the straps are adjusted properly. For the most part, when I'm riding, it is fairly stable. It does shift a little, but this is to be expected when using any pack for snowboarding. I suspect that a skier wouldn't have any trouble at all. I did use snowboard carrier once. For what it is, I think it does a great job, but I don't think I would use it often. With the pack full of gear, food, water and the board strapped on, it's pretty heavy. The design of the pack is excellent. I can't recall how many times I was glad to have the zippers for the main section in the back. It is extremely easy and quick to set the pack down on the fly and access any of your gear without having to dig down to find it. Definitely convenient. The bite valve compartment is also great to have. It didn't get too cold last time (only lower 20's), but I didn't encounter any freezing issues with the water bladder or hose which I used in it. The integrated goggle bag is quite large and I was able to fit goggles, sunglasses and a camera in it without having to worry about them getting crushed in a fall. My only complaint is the straps. There are straps on this pack to adjust everything; so it fits perfectly. But they also hang down and sometimes get in the way, though never a danger (ie snagging on a chair lift). Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with it. It is built really well and will definitely last me for several seasons to come.

Excellent pack for full day
This is an excellent pack for a full day in the backcountry, both size-wise and capacity-wise. I'm 5-foot-10, 150 pounds; the medium is a perfect fit. Nice to have some options there with size. The separate pockets for wet/avy gear and dry gear are bonus. The wet pack is literally a snap as far as entry. There's plenty of room for the AviTEch G3 shovel (just enough length for the handle), probe and such. The dry pack is rear entry, again with ample room for down sweater. I have yet to experiment with either the hydration pocket/sleeve or the ski-carrying capability. For trips of more than one day -- I dunno. For the minimalist perhaps. Might want 30-plus. However, for a full day with a full complement of gear, this pack fares well.

Osprey Kode = Great Pack
I bought this pack for my boyfriend as a birthday gift and he loved it. He is 6 feet tall, weighs about 175, has medium broad shoulders, and the medium fit him perfectly. It has compartments and gear loops for everything. He especially loved the wet and dry compartments that keep your stuff separate. It also has an insulated hydration sleeve so that your water line doesn't freeze. The compartments on the waistbelt are pretty useful too so that you have easy access to essentials. He plans to use this for cat-skiing and out of bounds skiing and his snowboard fits well on it. Also Osprey has a great warranty in place where they will fix any of their backpacks, no matter when it was purchased. Overall, he loved this product and feels that it is very useful and the best ski pack he ever owned.

Great pack for outdoor fun
The wet and dry compartments provide for easy access. I use this pack hiking/snowshoeing. There are pockets for everything which provides for easy accessibility/organization - especially when lunch break is only 10 minutes ( I need to find things quick and easy, w/c the KODE has ). It also has a whistle on the chest strap w/c is a nice extra. The waist band pockets are convenient for stashing camera and/or energy bar. The hydration compartment is very practical and fits the Osprey hydration bladder. I have the 3L. I am 5'2" , 107 lbs and the small fits me well; sometimes I forget it's on my back. The straps are long enough to allow room for adjustments, depending on how much load you have. There are straps to hold snowshoes which is one reason I bought this. I like the color and gives me more visibility out there.
