Great for a daypack or quick overnighter
I bought this pack to use for the occasional one nighter or all day hike. This pack works flawlessly however it was just too small for what I was anticipating. I wanted to take this out on a 3 or 4 nighter but seeing how small it was my worries got the best of me so I returned it for the 58 liter. I will definitely be buying osprey from here on out.
Another great Backpack from Osprey
I recently purchased the Osprey Kestrel 38 Day pack and have found it to be "another great backpack from Osprey." It is very comfortable to carry; fitting perfectly. The size is exactly what I needed for a day pack or a light overnight pack. It is also small enough and yet large enough to carry conveniently all of my needs for a day outing alone or with my small family of three. It is exactly what I was looking to find in quality, convenience, size and design; And it is made in America.
great day pack
only use this pack as a daypack but more than enough room for a overnight. probably somewhat overkill as a daypack but works great for me. fantastic design, extremely comfortable. recently used during some mountain climbing and performed flawlessly. never owned an osprey pack before but very impressed. recently just purchased a NF El Lobo 65 or otherwise would pick up a larger osprey as my main backpack. even has easy storage for the treking poles. highly recommend.
A great pack
This pack is great. I mostly do overnights or two days and this pack is great packs well great features trecking pole slings, awesome built in rain cover and classic osprey quality.
Nice~!
I got the Kestrel to replace an Arcteryx Axios 35. For me, the fit of the Axios did not work - shoulder straps too close together, and no ability to adjust the width. The Kestrel does not have this problem. Really nice built in water proof cover, and the paprika color looks true to the pics. Good combination between load carrying capacity and light weight too. Overall very satisfied - a nice pack, and quite sturdy too. Getting a large bladder wedged in the external bladder compartment is a bit tough.
