Here's the touring booties our customers have been looking for.
The Boundary Shoe pushes the limits of what a neoprene boot can do; it's a touring, canoeing and portaging dream. When wading is inevitable, you'll appreciate the knee-high, waterproof 5-mm neoprene upper. Comfy 7-mm insole atop a 7-mm rubber sole provides the protection and support you've come to expect from our footwear. 2-mm plastic shim for even more protection from sharp, pointy objects. Based on our popular Paddle Shoe, this mukluk-style boot features a high-traction sole and arch strap for secure footing. Each shoe is individually tested to ensure it's waterproof.

Great for cold weather paddle
I bought these so could paddle all year round in Michigan. Our winters get cold. At first I tried a 9 mil wet shoe made for diving purposes. For the first couple of hours they were fine but buy the end of a 5 hour river run I had numb feet. I bought these boots a size bigger than I would normally wear so I could use wool socks with them. I actually had to return them for yet a bigger size and they are perfect now with heavy wool socks. My feet are very warm and dry (down into the 30,s) all day long with this set up! Highly recommed.
Fantastic boots, want to wear them everywhere
Recommended by a friend, we purchased these for kayaking in cold water. They are comfortable, completely waterproof, and great for walking in shallow water on slippery rocks. They run small - I usually wear a women's 5.5 or 6, and since 6 was the smallest (it doesn't seem to come in men's and women's sizes) I ordered those and they fit perfectly. My husband, usually a 10.5 or 11, had to return his 11's for a 12. But they are fantastic and highly recommended.
Great boot
I bought these boots on the recommendation of a friend who I sail in the winter with. He swears his feet stay dry and warm. I've worn them sailing 3 times so far in about 35 degree weather and they've been great. Very comfortable and easy to put on. My one suggestion...I wore thick socks and my feet got sweaty on my drive to the marina and then I put the boots on. My feet were cold on that day but I think it was from my feet sweating and then putting the boots on. The other two times I put my socks and boots on right before I went out and they were fine. I know the sizing says to drop down a size for woman but I'm an 8 medium shoe and the 7 was too small. The 8 fits me perfectly. The velcro strap that goes across your foot is great b/c it helps adjust the size even more. Great traction on the boat and the fact that they go up to your knee is great for extra warmth but they are still flexible enough to move around. I was looking for a waterproof boot but I can't report on that b/c I haven't gotten them wet yet but my friend says when he's worn them in the water his feet stay dry.
Fits my purposes!
These boots are exactly what I've been looking for. I tried them for the first time in 46 degree water, launching my kayak. They kept my feet warm and dry - I was also wearing wool socks though, so this was a factor in keeping my feet warm. They ARE waterproof! I like the height of the boots, as they cover my entire calf area. (I'm a female 5'4" tall). I've only used them once so far, so that's why I gave a 4 for durability - I haven't used them long enough to comment on durability. But, I think they'll be durable enough for my purposes. I walked over a few sharp stones, and didn't even feel them. I found these boots run small for size though. They suggest that women order a size smaller - I wear 7-8 so I ordered size 7. Those were too small, even barefoot. But, the size 8 is perfect even with the wool socks underneath.
Perfect for what I needed
I was looking for a wading boot to wear with guide pants when I found this version. Didn't realize I could even buy a mid-calf wading boot, but these are perfect. I can actually wear these when launching and loading my small boat and wade deep enough to line the boat up without getting my feet wet. Well made, comfortable and extremely functional.
