Tips MSR scales at 8.5 ounces--their lightest backcountry liquid fuel stove ever!
Traveling and camping light in the backcountry doesn't mean eating cold meals throughout your journey. The MSR SimmerLite Stove is the lightest liquid stove available from MSR and features the same proven Shaker Jet Technology and adjustable single valve found on MSR's award-winning backpacking liquid fuel stoves. A ported burner design helps ensure a stable and quiet flame for predictable cooking times. The open metal architecture disperses heat quickly after the cooking is done, so you can quickly fold up the compact designs and store it in any 1-liter metal backpacking or climbing pot.

Reliable, Lightweight, Practical
Great stove for backpacking by yourself or a small group. Fuel lasts a while and stove is very effiecient heating things up in a hurry. The other plus is the stove starts up in a jiffy takes almost no time to set up and starts right up everytime. All in all i couldn't be happier with it.
Good choice for a light weight stove.
Used on Kayak camping trip, worked great. Uses little fuel, very glad I went with this unit as I looked at many before buying.
The perfect backpack stove
I have been looking for the perfect backpacking stove for me for some time. I have friends in Boy Scouts that have either the MSR Dragonfly or the MSR Whisperlite. I like the size and simplicity of the Whisperlite, but did not like the inability to adjust the flame. The Dragonfly was great with the adjustability, but the stove seemed too bulky. The Simmerlite is the perfect match of both size and adjustability. The quality of the unit and ease of use are fabulous!
Great Stove, All I expected.
I had been agonizing over the purchase of a white gas stove for cold weather conditions, and purchased the MSR Dragonfly as a result of prompting by REI. Not all people fit in the same browm wraper, and I found it too big, too heavy, too complex, and unsuitable for my pots. I bought the MSR Simmer Light, and found it light, compact, and perfect for my needs. For me this was a much better choice. Stove works great and heats fast. Great stove.
Not a good choice
This was my first back, packing stove. Simmer, no it does not; hard to adjust. Stable, not very. Do not like at all. Purchased a Jetboil Flash. Love it.
