Outstanding dual valve for flame control, large pot supports for cooking up big meals.
Big backcountry stove performance doesn't have to weigh in at a lot of extra ounces. The MSR DragonFly Stove offers exceptional flame control and large supports for holding big diameter pots and pans. This is a great stove for large groups or generous cooking proportions on climbing and backpacking trips. The dual-valve CoolFuel gives you a fine-control advantage over ordinary liquid fuel burners, so you can simmer sauces instead of the classic scorch and torch routine. Liquid fuel stoves are an excellent choice for cooking in cold temperatures. Depending on altitude and temperatures, a twenty-ounce fuel bottle of MSR white gas will burn for a 126-minute average.

Just meet the needs for rice cooking.
I used to cook rice while camping. To make it a good meal, you'll have to use a stove that could well control its flame. This stove is just the one I'm looking for. It do have excellent flame control, which make it a better choice for me than the XGK EX stove.
Great Gas stove
I have use this stove to camping, and it's boil 1 liter water so fast. It can take a 2.8 liter pan
I'm happy
I expected just what I got. I wanted stability (no fear of boiling pots falling over), clear instructions, engineering "common sense". Great service from Altrec - quick response. This will be a great stove for my needs in the BWCA.
Got a keeper here.
This stove is very powerful. I love the shuttle launch sound everytime I fire up this puppy.
As near to perfect as it gets
I've logged over 5K miles backpacking and own many stoves. If I had to choose one this would be it! Sure it's a bit noisy. One tentmate on a winter snoeshoe trip in WA complained about the noise, but loved the quesadillas it made!I can bake a pizza easy with my outbake oven or let it roar when I need a fast boil! Even when I go lite weight this stove goes with me. On a long distance hike food is very important! When I figure burn time vs weight ratio I'll take the Dragoonfly over even an pop can alcohol stove. I like coffee & a hot breakfast in the am. The burn temp & boil time of alcohol requires so much fuel.
