Love these!
I have been looking for a good snowshoe for a while and i had it narrowed down to 2 brands. MSR and atlas. I am 6' and weigh 200 lbs so i needed a fairly large shoe and when i was doing the research i wanted something very versatile since i would be on varied hikes. That is the main reason i went with MSR because i do a lot of trail hiking and i wanted to get the tails for added off trail use. I used them the other day on a nice 3 hour trail hike and decided to go off trail and try the added tails. They worked awesome. the bindings adjusted very well and held my foot securely and i had no trouble walking. I loved how the deck actually flexed and conformed to the snow and the spikes dug in very well on packed snow and ice. The only thing i really noticed was the noise the shoes made on packed snow but to me it was no big deal. Everything worked flawlessly on shoe and i would highly recommend this product!
These things rock!!
Climbed two ADK high peaks this weekend, EVO ascents worked flawlessly! Awesome traction, light weight, strong and reliable bindings, bulletproof construction..... it doesn't get any better! Highly recommend!
Best Snowshoes I Have Used
These are definitely the best snowshoes I have used, for several reasons: 1) Good crampons, I often have better traction than that of my friends with other brands, 2) televator heel is really fantastic, reducing calf and achilles strain when going uphill and improving traction, 3) durability, I haven't had anything break or snap on tough trips unlike my old pairs, 4) nice feature how you can buy the tails to attach making them better in deep snow. I cannot emphasize enough how much better these are than any other snowshoe I have owned.
