Mountain Khaki Excellence Continues
Big Mountain Khaki fan here. Used their Teton pant and short for years now. I live in the South East and was looking for a short that would be a little cooler in the 100 degree summer days we have around, but I still wanted them to look classy, and have the ability to dress them up or down. Enter: Granite Creek short by MK. Very pleased with these shorts. Light feel, nice fit, 9 inch inseam is good for me. I am 6'-1" and the 9" inseam falls about an inch above my knee. As far as the sizing goes, i wear a 32 in about everything else, but as like most people, with mountain khakis i always stick to a size bigger... 33 is perfect for me.
Great Travel Short
These shorts work well for summer travel or travel to warm destinations. They are well built with triple stitching on the seams. Tough but also lightweight and comfortable. They wash easily and dry fast. The best thing is all the secure zippered pockets. Great place to securely store wallet, cash, credit cards and passport. They have quickly become one of my favorite all around shorts.
Great River Short
These are great shorts for in and around water. The material is the perfect combination of quick drying/non-absorbant type material, while still having the substance and durability to stand up to the abuse of hard use. These are the only shorts I have found that meet both criteria. Fit is true to size. My only two complaints about these are, the 11" inseam is not long enough and a cargo pocket on a water short is pointless, both personal opinions. Can't go wrong with a mountain khaki product though.
Another really good product from MK.
I bought these after I tried the Mountain Utility Short, which are great, but a little heavy for the South in Summer, and they did not dissappoint. They are light weight and are just as good for wearing out to dinner as in the kayak. I've already bought a couple more.
