Granite Creek Convertibles
This makes my third pair of convertibles from Mountain Khakis. Excellent quality and fit overall. Nice to find convertible pants these days with actual belt loops and reinforced areas. The gussetted crotch is mandatory for plane trips, etc. Used these recently in Montana flyfishing and they performed exceptionally.

Great pants for us guys with long legs
It is very hard for me to find pants with a 36 inch inseam that otherwise fit my personal taste. Apparently, fit outdoorsy types aren't six foot three 235 pound lumberjack looking muldoons. 5.11 has, up to now, been my go to trousers because of their rugged design. The problem I have with them is that they look like a uniform. I wear my military uniform every day and I really like a lot of the features. However, I'd like just once to have the features I like in a pair of pants that don't scream "off duty Soldier" while I'm hiking with my kids or travelling through the airport. The Mountain Khakis Granite Creek Convertible Pants are golden. I get all the ruggedness, the're lightweight and fast drying, and have just the right amount of pockets that I like without looking like a security contractor. And finally, the pants are offered in a size that I actually fits my long legs.

great!
These are great pants very comfy and true to fit. I purchased the short version and they are the perfect length for 5' 7" The leg opening is the perfect size to zip off with boots on and are not overly large like some reviewers state in My opinion. I guess they could be considered large if your use to wearing super skinny jeans or super slims. The fit and function is great on these. you wont go wrong with these. fabric seems alittle heavier than other pants from other manufacturers making a similar pant, fabric is alittle thicker which makes these more ammune to rips and tears in the back country. These are still very confortable and lite weight

Solid
Positive: Fit well (little big in the waist but good belt loops) and run true to size (M-34" Inseam 30"--I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs). Material is heavier than Columbia's which is very thin but slightly lighter than North Face's heavier convertiable pant. Pockets are well designed. Seams look durable. Zips are plastic but seem good. Negative: Cuffs are flared out excesivly (like bellbottoms). Even with the bulkiest hiking boots, the cuffs are wide. The outseams have zippers for convertable removal with boots on so one wonders why the cuffs are so wide. I may resort to taping the cuffs so flared out bottoms don't catch material on hikes. Not a big deal but a slight distraction if you bushwack.
