Great for backpacking & petite adults!
I just took this bag to Big Sur. At a little over 2 lbs, this bag is exactly what I was looking for in a backpacking sleeping bag-- lightweight, packs down small, & synthetic. I looked at A LOT of kids' bags and this blue and gray bag is much more aesthetically pleasing than most I encountered. Most were downright ugly. I am 5'0" and 100 lbs and as a woman, I sleep pretty cold. For car camping, I have a 0-degree women's bag so I was worried about how warm this 20-degree bag would be. The conditions were in the 50s and I was nice & toasty in my bag. I was not a fan of how the bag does not zip all of the way down. It only gets about halfway so if you're hot, it doesn't vent that well. I am also at the height limit of the bag so it felt a bit snug but it has a great feature where you can use toggles to shorten the bag for your growing child. If you're an adult using this bag, know it is a tad narrow. It might not be the best for big kids or small adults who prefer roomy bags. All in all, a great price (I love being able to fit into kids items) and a great bag. Everything I was looking for!

My kids love these bags! They are warm and soft and wash really well too. I love the internal drawstring to shorten the bag. My daughter is a really tiny six year old, and this bag fits her great. My eight year old uses it without any shortening. We have one in pink and one in blue. I was a bit hesitant to get the pink, but it is actually a very nice, muted rose.

Good all-around choice.
I start my boys backpacking at about 3 years old, though they don't wear a pack until 5. I am continually searching for great gear that will keep the kids comfortable and happy, will last, won't weigh me or them down, and doesn't require a second mortgage on my home. This bag fit that description pretty well, though I bought it at 20% off. The weight is competitive with the best kids sleeping bags out there and the warmth of the bag ensures I won't be worrying about my three year old at 10,000 ft. The feature I like the most is the internal synch string which shrinks the bag up by about a foot. Many kids bags expand to give the kid more room as he grows, but when you expand the bag the temperature rating of coarse drops. In this case the bag does not expand, rather it shrinks to fit your kid which should mean that the temperature rating actually increases a little for the little kids. In any case, it is great for my 3 and 5 year olds. My 6 year old will still have a number of years of use in the bag before he grows out of it. Great choice, now get your kids out in the backcountry!
