I bought this vest mainly for xc skiing and cold weather running. It's soft and furry looking but won't make you look like a stuffed animal because the cut is contoured. It's a great layering piece; not overly bulky. It looks nice, feels nice, and keeps me warm. I am 5'2", and the length is a little long, but that's what I wanted. I love the standup collar and the pockets.
