Love my mountain hardware!
I bought this same jacket a year ago at a local store. Before buying my mountain hardware mistral jacket I was wearing another famous maker fleece type jacket. I thought I was crazy about that jacket until I found my mistral. I have never had a jacket that I enjoy wearing like this one. It is so comfortable and seems to be just the right weight while it resists the wind. The inside is so soft that it feels like a when I put it on. I loved this jacket so much that I bought the identical jacket in a different color from Altrec. I am 5'3" tall and weigh about 112 pounds. The size small is perfect and I love the way that the mistral is a bit tailored so it looks nicer than other jackets in its class. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone and everyone!

soft & cuddly!
This soft, cuddly and warm jacket makes me feel like a Teddy Bear! And I can use this jacket for "dressier" occasions too. Pretty good wind resistance without any stiffness. Trim, princess-cut fit looks & feels great. I really like the compression-cut of the forearms & the double cuff keeps the wind out. The inner drop-in pockets are deep (so nothing falls out - I can easily put a 0.5L water bottle in there!) but I wish they were in a matching color (i.e. black on black, instead of light gray on black). I have this jacket in both black and winter white; they wash well and still are just as soft as when I got them. Great service from Altrec!

Mountain Harwear Mistral
This is THE best jacket I have ever had and have since purchased 2 more of them! Perfect for hiking in cold temperatures as well as wearing around town. Can be used as a jacket/outside layer or as an underlayer beneath a larger coat for added warmth.

Mountain Hardware Women's Mistral Jacket
I bought this jacket for my teen daughter about 2 years ago, and she essentially lives in it, so i just bought her another one to replace the old one since it is getting worn after years of daily wear. The jacket feels so soft and warm; like a cuddly blanket. It has held up very well, and washes easily.
