Nice Jacket
When I ordered this jacket I was looking for something warm, but lightweight for xc skiing. When I received it I was worried it was a bit too lightweight since it seemed very thin. However, it actually is quite toasty. I love it. I ordered a medium and it fits well. I probably could have ordered a small, but I was worried I needed something a bit bigger if I layered with sweater, etc. I've not used it for xc skiing yet, but looking forward to it.
Haven't had a chance to give this coat a whirl out in the cold because it's August, so can only comment on fit and aesthetics right now: - I'm typically a size 12 and the large works well - it's roomy enough for a hoodie underneath. - I'm tall-ish (5'9) and sometimes have problems finding tops/jackets with sleeves that are long enough, but no issues here - my wrists are still covered when I raise my arms. - The material is very silky and soft, so very comfortable. - The shape of the coat is the only so-so part for me so far - it's pretty boxy without much shape to it, so it's not a particularly flattering cut. - The jacket is pretty lightweight material and isn't very bulky, so it's just what I was looking for.
Surprisingly warm for such a light weight jacket
Beautiful color and so soft! Surprised at how warm it was for a such light weight jacket. The inner cuffs are genius and help keep the winds out. You can't see them when wearing the jacket until you pull them down and they have thumb holes. The inner cuffs and pockets are made of a butter soft material. Adjustable at the hem also allows you to cinch it in to keep the drafts out. The inner pocket is great for stashing your phone or ID. The jacket runs true to size. The jacket isn't overly fitted, I could easily wear a thin base layer and a medium weight second layer. If you wanted to wear a thick second layer I would suggest sizing up. I am 5'1", 115 with an average build. The jacket is perfect for the transitional seasons and with an extra layer would be fine for northwest winters. It might not be enough for a colder climate.
I loved this jacket but had to return it because the sleeves were too long. Other than that, it was great.
